1. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when:
- We have received your completed booking form and payment
- We have sent you a booking confirmation email
All bookings are subject to availability and acceptance by Tarn Sike Woodland Retreat.
2. Payment
- A non-refundable deposit of [XX]% is required at the time of booking
- The balance is due [X] days before arrival
- We accept payment by bank transfer, credit/debit card
- If booking within [X] days of arrival, full payment is required immediately
3. Cancellation Policy
By You:
- More than [X] days before arrival: Full refund less deposit
- [X]-[X] days before arrival: [XX]% refund
- Less than [X] days before arrival: No refund
By Us:
In the unlikely event that we need to cancel your booking, we will provide a full refund or offer alternative dates.
In the event of severe weather conditions, including named storms or Met Office amber or red wind warnings, which in the reasonable opinion of the operator pose a risk to guest safety, the operator reserves the right to cancel or curtail a booking. In such circumstances guests will be offered a full refund or alternative dates.
4. Check-In and Check-Out
- Check-in: From 3:00 PM
- Check-out: By 11:00 AM
- Early check-in or late check-out may be available by prior arrangement
5. Number of Guests
The maximum occupancy for each pod is 4 guests. No additional guests are permitted without prior arrangement. We reserve the right to refuse admission if occupancy limits are exceeded.
6. Pets
Pets may be allowed by prior arrangement only. Please contact us before booking if you wish to bring a pet. Additional charges may apply.
7. Your Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Treat the accommodation and facilities with respect
- Report any damage or issues immediately
- Ensure children are supervised at all times, particularly near the lake
- Not exceed the maximum occupancy
- Not hold parties or events without prior permission
- Keep noise to a minimum, especially after 10:00 PM
- Follow all safety instructions provided
8. Damage and Breakages
You are responsible for any damage or loss caused by you or members of your party during your stay. We reserve the right to charge for repairs or replacements.
9. Liability
While we take reasonable care to ensure your safety and comfort:
- We are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property unless caused by our negligence
- Personal belongings are left at your own risk
- We recommend you take out appropriate travel insurance
- The lake and woodland areas are used entirely at your own risk
10. Right of Entry
We reserve the right to enter the accommodation at reasonable times for maintenance, safety checks, or in case of emergency.
11. Right to Refuse
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate a booking if:
- These terms are breached
- Guest behavior is unacceptable
- The accommodation is being used for illegal purposes
No refund will be given in such circumstances.
12. Force Majeure
We are not liable if we cannot fulfill our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control (including but not limited to extreme weather, natural disasters, or government restrictions).
13. Privacy
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to amend these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by English law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
